Manifold, an AI security firm, has announced the closing of an $8 million seed funding round. According to The AI Insider, the funding is aimed at supporting the development of a specialized platform for securing autonomous AI agents operating within enterprise networks.
The startup is developing an AI Detection and Response (AIDR) platform designed to protect companies from the escalating risks associated with the growing use of autonomous AI agents. The goal is to enable enterprise employees to securely adopt agentic AI technologies at scale while maintaining a high level of security on endpoints.
The funds will be used to fuel the development of the firm’s AIDR platform and to scale its operations to meet the rising demand for advanced security solutions.
The technology developed by the company provides advanced real-time monitoring capabilities. The system offers full visibility into the behavior of AI agents operating on network endpoints. It tracks their actions, analyzes their access to various information systems, and identifies anomalies and suspicious activities that could indicate a security threat. This approach allows organizations to detect and neutralize potential risks arising from the operation of autonomous tools.
The platform is intended for enterprise environments where the use of AI tools is becoming increasingly common. According to the report, the adoption rate of AI-powered assistants among developers, such as Github Copilot and Claude Code, has already reached 85%. This trend is expected to expand to all knowledge workers with the introduction of new platforms. This expansion creates a new attack surface that requires dedicated security solutions.
The investment arrives during a period of explosive AI adoption in the business sector. As more organizations integrate autonomous AI agents into their workflows, the need for security solutions capable of handling the unique challenges these technologies present grows. The startup’s solution is designed to directly address this need, allowing organizations to enjoy the benefits of intelligent automation without compromising on information security.
As enterprises increasingly empower their workforce with agentic AI, the need for specialized security solutions will become more critical. The recent funding will allow the company to establish its position in the emerging market for securing autonomous AI systems and continue developing its technology to counter future threats.
