Farnborough, UK / 17 February 2026 – Today, SD Government (SDG), a division of Gogo (NASDAQ: GOGO), and a leading provider of satellite communications (SATCOM) solutions for government and special mission operators worldwide, in partnership with Diamond Aircraft Industries, announced the integration of advanced airborne SATCOM connectivity for the Hellenic Fire Service’s fleet of Diamond DA62 MPP (Multi-Purpose Platform) aircraft.

In support of this project, SDG will deliver a beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) connectivity solution featuring the Gogo Plane Simple Ku-band (PSKu) antenna system powered by the SES FlexAir network. The advanced tail-mount terminal comprises just two-Line Replaceable Units (LRU), simplifying installation and configuration requirements while supporting high-throughput airborne communications suitable for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and civil protection missions.

The Hellenic Fire Service has recently taken delivery of three Diamond DA62 MPP aircraft under the AEGIS (ΑΙΓΙΣ) national civil protection programme – Greece’s most significant modernisation of civil protection aerial assets to date. Equipped with advanced electro-optical, infrared, and thermal sensors, the DA62 MPP aircraft act as airborne command-and-control nodes, supporting wildfire suppression, disaster response, and wide-area surveillance missions. With endurance exceeding seven hours and a range of more than 1,500km, the platform represents a major step forward in Greece’s ability to monitor, coordinate and respond to emergencies.

ThroScreenshot 2026-02-17 102249ugh the SES global network, FlexAir provides consistent, managed connectivity optimised for aviation users, enabling a reliable satellite connection for applications including real-time video streaming, sensor data transfer, and secure communications between aircraft and ground command centres. The service is designed to deliver robust performance, high-throughput, and resilient coverage, supporting the streaming of high-definition video from the air to the ground, in near real-time.

This SATCOM solution is now available from Diamond Aircraft as both a factory line-fit and retrofit option for the DA62 MPP. The modular architecture design of the aircraft mission system enables seamless integration of the PSKU system with various sensor payloads.

“Civil protection and disaster response missions demand resilient and dependable connectivity in some of the most challenging operating environments,” said Ben Massey, Senior VP, Government Sales, SD Government. “With nearly 30 years of experience supporting government and special mission aircraft worldwide, SD Government understands the operational realities our customers face. By combining the PSKu system with our managed satellite services and 24/7 operational support, we deliver trusted, mission-proven communications that enable real-time decision-making when it matters most.”

“The DA62 MPP is a highly capable platform for civil protection and ISR missions, well suited to the operational demands of the Hellenic Fire Service,” said Mario Spiegel, Director of Special Missions, Diamond Aircraft. “Partnering with SD Government enables a mission-ready, high-throughput SATCOM solution for real-time operations.”
