New for 2026, A Reimagined Core for Duty and Carry Optics: The Holosun 407C-X3 & 507C-X3

City of Industry, CA (January 15, 2026) – The 407C and 507C platforms have long been two of Holosun’s most widely adopted pistol optics, trusted by concealed carriers, duty users, and enthusiasts who value durability and proven performance. For 2026, the new X3 generation refines these foundations with modernized housing, enhanced light-sensing behavior, and improved forward-facing photodiode placement designed to keep each optic responsive as lighting conditions shift. The result is a pair of sights that stay familiar in feel while delivering a cleaner, more consistent presentation on the slide.

The 507C-X3 continues to offer Holosun’s well-known Multi-Reticle System, allowing shooters to select a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or the combined circle-dot for broader versatility. That adaptability helps tailor the optic to specialized roles, precision on demand with the dot alone, or enhanced speed and visibility under recoil with the circle-dot. The 407C-X3, by contrast, favors simplicity with a crisp 2 MOA dot, making it well-suited for users who prefer a precise and uncluttered aiming point. Both models benefit from improved lens geometry and a refined window presentation, which facilitates faster, more confident alignment.

Durability and footprint compatibility remain central to both optics. Constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum, the X3 housings are engineered for repeated slide cycling and environmental exposure. The familiar 0.91 × 0.67-inch window returns, providing shooters with a stable viewing area that strikes a balance between precision and situational awareness. Each optic mounts using the RMR-style footprint, making them compatible with a broad range of pistols and duty holsters without modification. Holosun’s Solar Failsafe™ system also remains part of the 507C-X3 architecture, ensuring continued operation even when the battery is depleted.

Power management has been refined for real-world reliability. A side-loading CR1632 battery drives both optics, supporting up to 50,000 hours of runtime depending on brightness settings and reticle choice. Holosun’s Shake Awake™ technology and reticle memory ensure the sight activates and resumes its last setting when movement is detected, an essential feature for concealed carry and duty use where readiness is paramount. The inclusion of a forward-facing photodiode helps maintain proper reticle brightness when transitioning between shadowed areas, bright daylight, or mixed indoor lighting.

Together, the 407C-X3 and 507C-X3 represent a streamlined modernization of two of Holosun’s most trusted optics. They retain the familiarity and reliability that made the series a mainstay, while incorporating subtle yet meaningful updates that enhance daily usability, optical consistency, and shooter confidence across various environments.
