It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Charlie Kirk, as confirmed by President Trump. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this heartbreaking time. His loss serves as a sobering reminder of how fragile life is and why the right to self-protection is so critical in America today.
National Body Armor was founded with a single mission: to save lives. What happened today underscores the unfortunate reality that danger can strike at any moment. And yet, in places like New York, citizens remain unable to legally obtain protective gear—leaving them more vulnerable than necessary.
The inspiration for our company came on October 1, 2017, when our nation was shaken by the tragedy at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas. Over 1,000 rounds were fired into a crowd of innocent concertgoers. Sixty lives were lost, at least 413 were injured, and a total of 867 were scarred forever by the chaos and panic. That day revealed the urgent need for certified, reliable body armor for everyday Americans—not just law enforcement or the military.
Drawing on decades of experience supplying gear to the U.S. government, federal agencies, and the armed forces, our team recognized a dangerous gap in the marketplace. The products available to the public at that time were often uncertified, imported, and unreliable. That was unacceptable. We built National Body Armor to change that reality.
