SFT Team Announcement!

SOUTHERN PINES, NC – SPECIAL FORCES TRUST (SFT)

After more than five years of dedicated service as Chief Programs Officer, Cameron Davis is transitioning into a new leadership role as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer of the Special Forces Trust. In this new position, Davis will lead the organization’s branding, awareness, and storytelling efforts—shifting from writing the stories of impact to telling them with clarity and style on a larger stage. Her work will focus on elevating SFT’s reach, influence, and identity across the country.

Reflecting on her transition, Davis remarked:
“Serving as Chief Programs Officer has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. Walking alongside our Special Forces Soldiers and Families in their moments of need has shaped me in countless ways. I am honored now to step into a role where I can help share their powerful stories, amplify their voices, and ensure that the world understands the extraordinary work of the Special Forces Trust.”

SFT’s Chief Executive Officer, Jodi Burns, shared her gratitude:
“Cameron has been the heart of our program work for over five years. Her leadership, creativity, and relentless commitment to our mission have strengthened the Trust and expanded our ability to serve. While her departure from programs leaves big shoes to fill, her new role as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer ensures that her talents will continue to propel this organization forward. She has a gift for making people feel connected to our mission, and I cannot wait to see how she elevates our voice.”

Filling the Programs role is retired Lieutenant Colonel Nelson Young, a decorated Green Beret from the 20th Special Forces Group. Nelson brings unmatched experience and credibility to the programs arena. Serving as Group Human Performance and Wellness Director in his last role, Nelson successfully integrated complex initiatives that directly strengthened Soldiers and their Families. His proven ability to translate vision into action, coupled with decades of leadership in the Regiment, positions him as a force multiplier for SFT. With his relentless drive, deep ties to the Special Forces community, and unwavering commitment to the mission, Nelson is poised to elevate our programs to unprecedented levels of impact and reach.

“Caring for Special Forces Soldiers and Families has been the calling of my career,” Young said. “To join the Special Forces Trust in this role is both an honor and a responsibility I take to heart. I look forward to building on the strong foundation Cameron has created and working with this exceptional team to ensure our programs continue to meet the real needs of our community.”

The Special Forces Trust is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing meaningful and sustainable support to the Families of our Green Berets. SFT develops and delivers timely, innovative, and comprehensive programs designed to enhance the well-being and resiliency of both the Special Forces Soldier and their Family.
