Introduced in January 2022, the Smith & Wesson CSX marked the company’s foray into the micro-compact, metal-framed pistol segment, primarily targeting the concealed carry market. Three years later, in January 2025, Smith & Wesson unveiled the CSX E Series, a significant upgrade to the original. This new model boasts enhanced ergonomics, focusing on improved grip and control, a refined trigger system for a smoother pull, optics readiness, a redesigned grip texture, availability in two barrel lengths of 3.1 inches and 3.6 inches, and magazine capacities of 12, 15, and 17 rounds. The CSX E Series is tailored for individuals prioritizing a high-capacity, easily concealable 9mm pistol with contemporary features and improved handling.
