For the blade realization, Extrema Ratio has used the collaboration of an Italian company leader in the sector with extremely high production standards. The material used, sintered tungsten carbide, features the remarkable property of high hardness equivalent to 71 HRC. This property makes it highly sought after in mechanical workshops, ours included, where it finds application in the treatment of metals such as steel.
The extraordinary hardness of this material is combined with a convenient compromise in terms of toughness, unlike ceramic, which is extremely fragile and therefore not suitable for such applications.

The sintered tungsten carbide blade (71 HRC) ensures a very high cutting capacity and absolute corrosion resistance. The combination of these two features, along with meticulous design, makes the X-Ant an exceptional EDC (Every Day Carry), suitable for everyday use and a unique piece for collectors.

The innovative features of the X-Ant foldable knife extend to functional design: the blade rotates on ball bearings that facilitate a smooth and precise opening. Similarly, the blue-colored titanium grip helps to improve the overall efficiency and strength of the instrument. X-Ant features the “LINER-LOCK” blade locking mechanism. Extrema Ratio is the first company in the world to ever use this locking system on a folding knife with a tungsten carbide blade.
X-Ant represents a perfect balance between performance and aesthetics, making it an outstanding ally in the operational field and a valuable addition to any knife collection. 

Production is limited to 100 pieces, each packed in a sturdy technical polypropylene case, equipped with a pressurization valve and resistant to weather, dust, and shock. Inside there is a metal plate that shows the serial number of the limited series, making each piece a true collector’s item.
