Since 2015, Vista Outdoor has awarded 117 Learning for Life Scholarships totaling $117,000 to assist children of Vista Outdoor employees in their pursuit of post-high school education.

ANOKA, Minn. — Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO), the parent company of 41 renowned brands that design, manufacture and market sporting and outdoor products to consumers around the globe, congratulates the 20 outstanding recipients of this year’s Vista Outdoor $1,000 Learning for Life Scholarship.

The Learning for Life Scholarship program was designed to assist children of Vista Outdoor employees in their pursuit of post-high school education, whether they attend a vocational-technical school, junior college or four-year college or university. The 20 students were children of employees from several Vista Outdoor locations.

Vista Outdoor has been participating in the Learning for Life Scholarship program since 2015. Since its inception, the company has awarded 117 scholarships totaling $117,000. The program is administered by Scholarship America, a designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals.

Scholarship America’s evaluation team reviewed 27 total applications for this year’s Learning for Life scholarships. Awards were granted to eligible recipients based on academic record, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an online recommendation. Selections were made without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, financial need or national origin.
