The NDIA Undersea Warfare Division is excited to announce the return of the Spring Undersea Warfare Conference in San Diego. In response to pressing global security requirements, the classified conference will emphasize kill chain capabilities to support undersea overmatch through joint capabilities. Our Day Two sessions are organized around this theme, with sessions relevant to the Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, and Assess (F2T2EA) model.

Security Information 

This event is classified at the SECRET level (SECRET//NOFORN). Attendance at the conference will be limited to United States citizens who have been granted a SECRET or higher personnel security clearance and who have the need-to-know.  Foreign persons and U.S. citizens employed by a foreign controlled company will be prohibited from attending.

The security procedure for USW Spring Conference involves two essential steps: first, complete the background form (required for individuals without a valid DOD CAC ID Card or a valid retired military ID), and second, submit your clearance through DISS. Please note, these steps cannot be completed onsite and must be completed by Thursday, February 29, 2024.

1. Background Form – For those who do not have a valid DOD CAC ID Card or Retired Military ID (if you have a CAC ID Card, do not complete this step)

If you do not hold a valid DOD CAC ID Card or Retired Military ID, submit your personal information using the instruction sheet through the DBIDS Website, this is a secure DOD Website. Please ensure you follow the instructions on the instruction sheet. Once you complete the online form, you will need to send the confirmation page to the POCs outlined in the instructions. The deadline to submit is Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Failure to complete the form and submit the confirmation page by the deadline will result in refusal or delayed entry to the base. Please be aware that the office where the form is processed is not situated on the base and may take up to 4 hours to receive approval.

2. Security Clearance 

The deadline to submit your paperwork for security clearance is Thursday, February 29, 2024. Failure to submit your clearance information in time will result in the inability to attend the conference. For additional details on how to submit your clearance, please visit the security website.
