This in-person conference serves as the leading forum for networking and learning in the undersea warfare community. Connect with the brightest minds and gain insight into the latest requirements and developments in undersea warfare, including those related to countering submarine and mine threats as well as power projection from the sea.
Abstracts Now Accepted | January 8 Deadline
The NDIA Undersea Warfare Division is excited to announce the return of the Spring Undersea Warfare Conference in San Diego. In response to pressing global security requirements, the classified conference will emphasize kill chain capabilities to support undersea overmatch through joint capabilities. Our Day Two sessions are organized around this theme, with sessions relevant to the Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, and Assess (F2T2EA) model.
Concurrent Day Two Sessions (Abstract Topics)
· Find, Fix, Track, Target (F2T2) in support of Undersea Overmatch
Capabilities, CONOPS, and technologies that can be employed to Find, Fix, Track, and Target (F2T2) in support of Undersea Overmatch. Of particular interest are emerging technologies that can be rapidly fielded or existing capabilities that can be used in new and novel ways.
· Kinetic Effects
New or evolved kinetic effectors can enable more targeting and planning options. This session will explore new kinetic effects that are available now or projected to be operational within the next five years. Of equal interest are kinetic effects enabled by new uses of or combinations of existing capabilities. Where possible, the presenter should provide thoughts on how the proposed effects will change options available to planners and operators.
· Non-Kinetic and Unconventional Effects
Non-kinetic and unconventional effects provide planners more options when preparing for or responding to geopolitical events. This session will explore new and emerging technologies and how these capabilities can be employed. Of equal interest are non-kinetic and unconventional effects enabled by new uses of or combinations of existing capabilities. Where possible, the presenter should provide thoughts on how the proposed effects will change options available to planners and operators.
· AI|ML as an enabler for Undersea Overmatch
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are enablers of undersea warfare decision superiority. This session will explore how AI|ML can enhance our ability to maintain undersea overmatch. Where possible, the presenter should provide thoughts on how the proposed effects will change options available to planners and operators.
Individuals are required to submit a concise abstract of 5,000 characters or less by January 8, 2024. Abstracts must be UNCLASSIFIED and cleared for Distribution A. Authors will be notified whether their abstract has been accepted by February 1, 2024.
