Boulder City, NV (November 16, 2023) – Fisher Space Pen Co.® is partnering with Blue Origin to be the official ballpoint pen used during Blue Origin’s crewed space flights. As part of the agreement, Fisher Pen Company is joining forces with Blue Origin’s nonprofit Club for the Future to engage students in designing their pathway to careers in STEM.

Fisher Pen’s original Astronaut Space Pen (#AG7) boarded Apollo 7 in 1968 and revolutionized the idea of writing in space using the PR4 pressurized ink cartridge. Writing history is nothing new for the Fisher brand, and the partnership with Blue Origin and its nonprofit Club for the Future will expand the reach of space exploration.

To commemorate this partnership, Fisher Space Pen and Blue Origin are releasing three custom-designed Space Pens featuring the distinct feather symbol representing the perfection of flight hardware design, an ideal balance of strength and lightness.

“We can see the future, and Blue Origin is helping fly us there,” said Matt Fisher, Vice President of Fisher Pen Company. “My grandfather helped build this company with an innovative product that yesterday’s space ioneers needed, with a pen that has stood the test of time. This partnership now has all of us anticipating the possibilities that lie ahead, and we couldn’t be more excited to help further our involvement in upcoming space endeavors Blue Origin will lead.”

Reaching the highest skies with a new commercial space partner will once again be the Original Astronaut Space Pen, plated with a stylish new look of sleek black titanium nitride to help increase its resistance to scratching and give it an intriguing, stealthy

appearance. This AG7 will include the Blue Origin Feather symbol laser engraved around the pen with other celestial features.

In alignment with Fisher’s commitment to STEM learning and the values of handwritten notes and art, Fisher Space Pen is also partnering with Blue Origin’s Club for the Future to inspire future generations of space explorers. Club for the Future and Fisher Space

Pen will design space-inspired experiences, write new lesson plans, and more as the pen in hand from the ground to takeoff.

“Our partnership with Fisher Space Pen will inspire future generations to reach for the stars, write their STEM goals, and leave an indelible mark in the space industry for the benefit of Earth,” said Michael Edmonds, President of Club for the Future.

The Blue Moon Bullet Space Pen features a vibrant blue translucent finish. The widespread popularity, appeal, and color of the Blue Moon Bullet Space Pen featuring a chrome feather symbol complements Fisher Space Pen’s new affiliation with Team Blue.

The iconic Bullet Pen design will also be the model used in the third pen design, featuring a matte black finish and the Blue Origin feather symbol emblazoned in gold that wraps around the pen. The classic design of the Fisher Bullet Pen in Matte Black

and Blue Moon with a distinct feather symbol now helps usher in a new future with Blue Origin.

About Fisher Space Pen

Fisher Space Pen Co. is a 75-year-old American manufacturer of ballpoint pens, with the notable distinction of being the only ballpoint pen used on every crewed flight into space since Apollo 7 back in 1968 and most recently with SpaceX, Axiom Space and Blue Origin. While pressurized technology made it possible for NASA’s astronauts to write in space, it also provided writing capabilities in all weather, underwater, over oil and grease and from -30 to +250 degrees Fahrenheit. These pens are the perfect tool for trade professionals, first responders, military, rugged outdoor enthusiasts, trekkers, backpackers, industrial manufacturers, underwater divers and anyone who values a pen that doesn’t fail.
