Always great to see new cartridges introduced.
Although, Winchester could have brought back the 401 WSL with modern bullets.
I have read comments on various sites of people complaining about this cartridge.
They say to get a 30-30, 308, 30-06, 444 Marlin or 45-70.
They don’t understand that the midwest- central states will allow straight walked cartridges under 1.8 inches. All of the listed cartridges are bottleneck or are too long.
So Winchester came out with a new cartridge for those states.
I suppose the next will be a 475 Legend as there is already the 450 Bushmaster and 458 Socom.
Bring out semi auto rifles in the following cartridges:
44 AutoMag
45 Win.Mag.
475 Wildey
50 AE
All these would provide great power for hunting beating out the 30-30 and similar rounds.
