U.S.M.C. Plans on Divesting Itself of the Scout Sniper Program–Has someone lost their mind?

The folks at Military.com broke the story that I will link below

U.S.M.C. Scout Sniper Platoons have and continue to be one of the most effective fighting units in U.S. Military History. Apparently “The change is part of Force Design 2030 (FD2030), the Marine Corps’ ongoing and controversial effort to reinvent the service for future warfare.”

As John Kenneth Galbraith says: “If all else fails, immortality can always be assured by spectacular error.”
