The Cantable Universal Belt Loop design allows the user to customize carry for a straight up draw and is available in 3 versions for hi-ride, mid-ride, or low-ride carry. The CUBL provides the same offset from the holster as the standard UBL, yet offers the closest to the body ride of all UBL models. The CUBL works with belt sizes from 2”, 2.25” and now 1.75” for use with EDC or duty belts for all users’ needs.

Why would I use the CUBL?
The CUBL has the ability to Cant the holster position and adjust the draw angle. Our CUBL has a + or – 10 degree cant from nominal, which means the holster can run parallel with your leg and up to 20 degrees behind the operator.
What should I consider when selecting a ride height for the CUBL?
A number of factors can influence your ride height choice. Departments may require it as part a uniform code holster usage and body type also play a role. Often, finding the right ride height for you depends on where your natural draw position is on the holster. Ultimately, ride height comes down to a personal preference.
What are the different ride heights and where is the gun placement?
Low-ride:
The low-ride UBL (Universal Belt Loop) option is approximately 1.5” lower than the mid-ride option
The low-ride UBL places the butt of the pistol just below the belt line and is considered the fastest position to draw from because it is closest to the hand at a resting position.
Mid-ride:
The mid-ride UBL is the most popular, and suitable choice for all-around duty or patrol use
The mid-ride option generally places the butt of the pistol even with the belt line, which makes it a more comfortable fit when driving in a car or doing office work than the low-ride UBL.
High-ride
Approximately 1.5” higher than the mid-ride option and is often called “detective carry.”
It places the butt of the pistol above the belt line and is very comfortable for sitting in a vehicle or doing office work
Will the CUBL work with the Quick Locking System (QLS)?
Yes, the CUBL will work with all Safariland Quick Locking System kits. The QLS22 Receiver Plate will mount onto the UBL in the same position that the holster is located to work with a holster equipped with the QLS19 holster fork.
What holsters are compatible with the CUBL?
All Safariland 3-hole or “T” patterned holsters can be installed on the CUBL.
