ABOUT THE M17 PROGRAM

In January of 2017, SIG SAUER announced that the U.S. Army had selected a variant of the P320 to replace the M9 service pistol for its Modular Handgun System (MHS) program. The M17 and the M18 pistols are now in service with all branches of the U.S. Military.

The four-part M17 documentary, “The Chosen One” was created in conjunction with the civilian release of the P320-M17 and chronicles the U.S. Army’s exhaustive search for a new sidearm.
