Tactical Trauma Care Course
This course was created by a Special Operations Combat Medic and a former “Greenside” Navy Corpsman, now NYC Paramedic. It will teach basic trauma management using the M.A.R.C.H. Protocol, which is different than standard EMS. All within a tactical setting, some of the topics will cover the management of:
 
  • Massive bleeding
  • Airway
  • Respiration
  • Circulation
  • Hypothermia
  • Patient stabilization
 
This is a 8-hour, hands-on course, and every student will be given a practical exercise at the end of the course.
 
 
 
Explosive Breaching Operations
This dynamic entry course serves to introduce attendees to all proper procedures required to either create, or augment an already existing explosive entry component. This 5-day course is designed for personnel with little to no experience with energetic materials, and explosive compounds.

HME Awareness Level Course
This course is designed to help First Responders effectively combat the dangers of homemade explosives. The HME awareness training program focuses on stopping the clandestine proliferation of improvised energetic material that can be used in association with criminal and terrorist activities.
 
Available every Saturday, 0900-1300 hrs, in Gettysburg, PA (attendance levels permitting).
HME Operational Level Course
This course is designed for the operational first responder…the first there. In addition to the information provided in the awareness course, students will be safely exposed to real improvised explosive formulations, including several peroxide based mixtures such was TATP, which was used in the recent Paris attacks. Students will witness first-hand, the sensitivity and destructive power of improvised explosives, how to safely oper ate (if necessary) while improvised mixtures are present, methods of desensitization, as well as a live range demonstration. There is absolutely no alternative for this real- world based training. If you want to be operating at your optimal level and be ready to deal with the threat of improvised explosives and improvised explosive labs, you need to attend this course.

Forensic Science Programs
Tripwire’s F.I.R.S.T. (Forensic. Investigation. Research. Services. Training.)Division, which is co-directed by internationally recognized experts in the field forensic archaeology consultants Dennis Dirkmaat, Ph.D., D-ABFA and Special Agent Michael Hochrein (ret), provides a wide variety of services to the law enforcement, medicolegal, and jurisprudence communities, focused on forensic scene recoveries (outdoor and indoor), mass disaster incidents, forensic DNA interpretation, forensic anthropology cases, and general criminalistics. Real-time forensic scene recoveries and investigations can be completed upon request. Training courses are available both at the Tripwire Facility in Gettysburg, and at institutions across the country. Consultations and reviews by cold cases, current cases, and future cases are available.
