Might have been one of the pall bearers wearing a vest himself, and forgot his vest was still active?
Or a booby-trapped body carrier / stretcher?

I agree with you Stu. I watched it a few times and it looks like a Sunni on Shia thing. The corps looked intact with no burn marks on the burial cloth so it was probably someone in the crowd or a pall bearer. Interestingly enough, the blast seem to emanate from the stretcher and well above the heads of the people gathered, so you may be spot on about the stretcher and probably in the poles, they would make a good pipe bomb.
It sure did some damage though…

I just watched it again and I’m going to withdraw the stretcher / poles theory. It was probably someone in the crowd or a pall bearer.
