Review: Streamlight ProTac HL Headlamp

In October of 2013, Streamlight announced a new headlamp designated ProTac HL® Headlamp. It is currently the only compact headlamp on the market with a 540 lumen output that began shipping late in November.

The ProTac HL®offers the same functionality as the ProTac HL® Handheld minus the strobe feature, along with a whopping 540 lumens and run time of 1.7 hours. As pf this writing, it is the brightest headlamp on the market. With nobody coming even close to that output in a compact form factor . Streamlight’s ProTac HL® Headlamp is the ideal illumination tool for cavers, climbers, SAR, First Responders or even a shady tree mechanic, and it can be yours for $70 or less.
