Magpul Industries announced that its iPhone 5 field cases will begin shipping on Friday, 23-February. The Magpul Field Case for the iPhone 5 is a semi-rigid cover designed to provide basic protection in the field. It’s made from a durable thermoplastic featuring PMAG-style ribs for added grip, snap-on design for easy installation and removal, and slides easily in and out of pockets without snagging.

Magpul’s iPhone 5 field case has an new design to improve camera/flash port geometry and superior durability resulting from improved materials. Similar enhancements are planned for their iPhone 4/4s case and will be available later in the year.
