The Galil ACE rifles are renown for their reliability; however, in the case of the older Galils, it came at a weight premium. The new Galil ACE rifle family has been upgraded.

The ACE 21, 22 and 23 are chambered in the 5.56 x 45 NATO round; the ACE 31 and 32 are both chambered in
7.62 x 39; and the ACE 52 and 53 are chambered in the 7.62 x 51.

All of these rifles are designed around the Avtomat Kalashnikova operating system.
